Its beginnings were almost unbeatable. The current Chiefs of Kansas City but at that time were the Dallas Texans, were founded in 1959 and competed in the AFL, a professional football league that would rival the NFL. In 1962 they won their first championship. Subsequently the team moved to what would be their home forever: Kansas City. A city where the Chiefs managed to win two more championships, in 1966 and 1969. All these championships won in the short stay of the AFL and that in 1970 was merged with the NFL. In Superbowl IV the Chiefs defeated the Minnesota Vikings, achieving their first and only Superbowl in their history under the orders of Hank Stram.

Marty Schottenheimer was hired as a new head coach in 1989 and, under his ten-year term in the Chiefs' locker room, the team reached the playoffs seven times and six consecutively from 1990 to 1995, winning three division titles and reaching the AFC championship, where they lost to the Buffalo Bills.

They currently have a team with leftover quality to defeat the champions of the last edition of the NFL Superbowl: the New England Patriots. The Kansas City Chiefs with their spectacular attack and with the young but experienced quarterback Patrick Mahomes have more than enough to defeat the current NFL Superbowl champions.
